HIRE FOR PASSION. TRAIN FOR SKILLS.

HIRE FOR PASSION, TRAIN FOR SKILLS
Not just the creativity, but also the contradictions compared to “business as usual” seem uncompromising in the rebellious and rapidly growing Acne.
The birth of a cause
The fashion part of Acne started when Jonny Johansson, one of the founders, designed 100 pairs of jeans with red stitches to promote the newly founded creative collective. Jonny had problems finding a qualified producer to take on the small production order and was not perfectly happy with the quality when the jeans came back. But the guys in the officestarted wearing them and offering them to friends and suddenly BOOM; the red-stitched jeans were the talk of the town.
Strong gut feeling and fast forward
Acne base decisions on a strong gut feeling and when we know it´s right, warnings from outside voices just ad to their drive. They always look for the natural, raw talent and their recruitment is thorough and sometimes takes a very long time and several meetings.
Global Scandinavians
According to CEO, Mattias Magnusson, they are aware that their culture is very Scandinavian: Flat, full freedom, fastforward. It’s a balance. They have to be culturally sensitive and intelligent – but need people to act fast when they have the right feeling. Not to rush, but be quick. Not to forget the commercial, but be creative”.
All Acne employees goes to school when they start in the company. The store is the school!
