The luxury french cosmetic brand is L’Oréal Luxe’s newest addition for the Chinese Market. The brand offers a range of high-quality luxury beauty products, with which Chinese customers will be offered cosmetics, fragrances and skin-care items especially tailored for Asian customers.

According to the Telegraph, Louboutin has acknowledged that it has no further claims in the case or otherwise arising from the trademark of Louboutin against YSL over the manufacture of red monochrome shoes.

Retail News - PPR and Yoox announce ecommerce joint venture

Balenciaga's new boutique on Paris' rue Saint-Honoré. French luxury and retail group PPR on Friday revealed it had set up a joint venture with Italian online fashion retailer Yoox as it looks to expand its ecommerce operations. The new partnership will be 51 per cent owned by PPR and 49 per cent by Yoox, selling the French conglomerate’s high-end luxury brands through a global digital platform.

The multinational trading company is thought to be on the verge of acquiring a Chinese brand to boost its presence in the burgeoning Asian economy. According to a report by WWD, PPR chief executive François-Henri Pinault told the Hong Kong Economic Times that talks were still at an early stage, but an acquisition could be announced by the end of the year.

Retail News - Red letter day as Zara wins Louboutin battle

A French court has ruled that fast fashion chain Zara’s use of red soles for its high-heeled shoes do not infringe on the Louboutin trademark, and that the Spanish retailer can continue to manufacture and sell the design. Currently also battling with Yves Saint Laurent in a similar court case, Christian Louboutin sued Zara, claiming the high street retailer had copied his Yo Yo slingback design.
