Aurora Fashions, the current parent company of Coast, Oasis and Warehouse, is said to be in the process of realigning its entire company as it looks to capitalise on the shift to online retail. According to a report by the Independent, the changes Aurora makes throughout its business model will make it easier for Kaupthing, its biggest shareholder, to sell the group's womenwear brands later on.

Meg Lustman, managing director of Aurora-owned fashion brand Warehouse is expected to leave the retailer next month following a period of strong trading over Christmas. Having worked at the head of the company since 2009, the Independent reported that Lustman is thought to be leaving her role in February, although she could remain on the group’s board for a while longer.

Ian Kenyon, a Carphone Warehouse executive, is set to become the music and entertainment retailer’s new finance director. Kenyon will leave his position as chief financial officer of Best Buy Europe, a joint venture between Best Buy and Carphone Warehouse, to fulfil the vacant HMV role.

 Costco set to buy out Mexican JV partner in $766m deal

Costco Wholesale Corp has revealed plans to buy out its joint venture partner Comercial Mexicana’s 50 per cent stake in its Mexican unit for USD 766.79 million. According to a report by Reuters, this will allow Costco to take full control of its third-largest market. Costco Mexico will pay a cash dividend of around USD 343.98 million, to be split equally between Costco and Comercial Mexicana.

Aurora Fashions will take some of its most well-known UK brands across the pond this spring, with the launch of its first US e-commerce site. Andotherbrands.com will launch on 24 April, allowing customers to use a shared basket to shop the Coast, Oasis and Warehouse brands.

Morrisons will use the 10 former Best Buy stores it snapped up on Thursday to strengthen its mother and baby brand Kiddicare.com. Carphone Warehouse misses Q3 estimates

Europe’s biggest independent mobile phone retailer Carphone Warehouse on Tuesday said it would reach forecasts for year earnings despite missing analysts’ predictions for Christmas sales. Carphone said sales at European stores open over a year fell 4.7 per cent in the three months to 31 December, its fiscal third quarter.
