Uniqlo UK boss departs Friday, 29th July 2011
Simon Coble, chief executive of Uniqlo in the UK will leave the business next week, after heading up the chain’s successful re-entry into the UK since 2006.
“We’ve got strong like-for-likes and a good store base so I have done what I set out to do,” Coble told press today, with sales at Uniqlo’s UK stores now standing at £75 million with a positive EBITDA performance.
A former Arcadia man, Coble has said he plans to embark on a new retail venture in the autumn. He will be replaced by Uniqlo UK group senior vice-president Takao Kuwahara.
