LVMH reports 25% rise in Q1 revenue Wednesday, 18th April 2012
Strong sales in Asia and the US were cited as key drivers in LVMH’s 25 per cent rise in revenue for the first quarter. The world’s biggest luxury goods group saw quarterly sales rise 14 per cent on a like-for-like basis to EUR 6.58, with Sephora bringing in the strongest divisional growth.

The French luxury group is negotiating a major retail detail with Genesis Luxury Fashion, under which LVMH’s cosmetics arm Sephora would be able to operate in India under license. The move is being viewed as way of adapting to the Indian government’s recent decision to defer direct foreign investment in multi-brand retail operations.

Sephora is planning to roll out 10 to 12 stores in Latin America in the next two years as it moves to capitalise on the region’s promising beauty market. Paula Larroque, Latin America senior vice president of the French perfumery chain told press the retailer will make its debut in São Paulo, Brazil, next April.
Sephora launches Charlotte Ronson collection Friday, 26th August 2011
Sephora splashed out on its celebrity credentials this week with a candleit dinner to launch Charlotte Ronson’s cosmetics range for the company.
Ronson, who began working with Sephora three seasons ago on her runway show said, “They have always done a great job bringing the vision to life.”
Her eponymous beauty collection has been in development for a year and will be available at Sephora stores next month. Sister Samatha Ronson, Rashida Jones, Nicole Richie and Paris and Nicky Hilton joined the festivities at Il Sole in West Hollywood.
