Liberty decides the kids are alright Friday, 5th August 2011
The London department store will open a new childrens’ department in February next year.
In a U-turn for Liberty, which hasn't stocked childrenswear for six years, the retailer has confirmed a department complete with Liberty print clothing lines, accessories, books, furniture and gifts.
“Childrenswear is one of the main things we get asked about in store,” managing director Ed Burstell told press.
Although plans remain to be finalised, it is thought the department will cover around 1,500 sq ft on the third floor, offering brands such as Stella McCartney, Lanvin and Converse. Isabel Marant and Acne will also be stocked debuting their kidswear ranges.
