The British accessories and ready-to wear brand has made two new additions to its management team. Paul-Henri Cecillon will join LK Bennett as commercial director, while Brett Johnson will join as group retail director, both are new positions for the business. Working as executive vice president of French fashion brand Sinequanone until recently, Cecillion has been charged with building the retail and wholesale business in the UK and internationally.
Chicago and Atlanta will be the first destinations for the luxury British brand with New York and Boston also in sight.L.K. Bennett have announced plans to open up to 40 stores in the States within the next five years, as part of their ongoing international expansion that will see the quintessentially British label roll out its wholesale apparel business across the US.Executive chairman for the company Robert Bensoussan insists “We are going slowly,” with just four stores planned to be open by the end of 2012. He went onto state that L.K. Bennett is currently shopping for retail sites in New York, Boston, New Jersey and Florida. Bensoussan hopes the wide spread of stores will act as testing grounds to see which category of L.K. Bennett (clothing, shoes or accessories) will sell most successfully.Chicago will be the first city to debut the label with a 1,800 square foot location, closely followed by Atlanta’s 1,750 square foot offering on the 15 May.
