H&M Regent Street store, London. Hennes & Mauritz managed to defy wider market trends with a slight lift in annual sales at established stores in June. The Swedish retailer on Monday revealed sales growth at stores open a year or more were steady, with a 3 per cent rise in local currencies.

The Swedish fashion retailer saw total sales including VAT in local currencies fall 1 per cent in April, compared to sales from the same month a year before. Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) attributed the decline to unfavourable weather and the effect of an early Easter landing in late March.

Swedish retailer H&M has announced it will release its much awaited Versace collection in select countries on 17 November. The fashion world has been granted its first glimpse of the collection in the look book and price list released this week, which includes a USD 299 leather jacket, alongside lower priced costume jewellery for USD 19.95 and scarves and leggings each priced USD 29.95.
