Much to the delight of Christmas shoppers already packing out central London, Debenhams has finally unveiled its new-look Oxford Street flagship, a makeover ringing in at £25 million for the retailer. Debenhams, which celebrates its 200 year anniversary in 2013, spent 12 months refurbishing its seven storey flagship department store, now complete with an extra floor of trading space, a 25 metre glass atrium ceiling and the retailer’s largest ever beauty hall.
Debenhams bosses lost their cash and share bonuses this year after profits continued to recede, according to its annual report.
