Lee Jeans and PPQ announce SS12 collaboration Wednesday, 14th September 2011
Over the next week Lee Jeans will team up with London’s PPQ for a brand new series of collaborations featured across London Fashion Week.
For PPQ’s SS12 show, classic elements of Lee’s womenswear including the Scarlett jean and the Lee Western denim shirt will be reworked, introducing a combination of screen print techniques, embroidery and embellishment.
To celebrate the ten year anniversary of the launch of PPQ’s drainpipe jean, the label will also collaborate with a number of new denim looks for Lee, which will all be showcased at the PPQ show on 16 September.
“The Inspiration for the denim collaboration with Lee is taken from our PPQ crest, The screen prints that will feature on the denim are an amalgamation of the gold PPQ initials in our logo, all of which will be present in the form of embroidered patches that will feature on the Lee denim Scarlett and denim shirt block” says Amy Molyneaux, Creative Director of PPQ.
For anyone not lucky enough to attend the show, PPQ will then debut two styles from the runway at Lee’s Carnaby Street Store on 17 September, offering customers the chance to buy a limited run of just 10 pieces handcrafted by PPQ’s production team.
A bespoke London Fashion Week window will also be unveiled co-curated by Lee and PPQ to celebrate the pieces arriving in store.
