Ebay and Amazon sellers face HMRC crack down Monday, 14th May 2012
HM Revenue and Customs have issued legal notices to both Ebay and Amazon to provide thousands of members’ details as part of a crack down on online trading. A spokesperson for the HMRC told the Daily Mail: ‘If you are an online seller with undeclared income, you should come forward and put your tax affairs in order before HMRC catches up with you.’
Online traders not declaring all the tax they owe relating to internet sales have until 14 June to come forward.

Asda leads supermarkets on entertainment Tuesday, 1st May 2012
Asda has now overtaken Tesco to become the third largest entertainment retailer in the UK. The latest results from Kantar Worldpanel show that Tesco’s hold on the video, market and games market fell from 11.3 per cent in the first three months of 2011 to 9 per cent in the same period for this year.

EBay sees Q1 results top expectations Friday, 20th April 2012
The online marketplace saw sales and profit grow at a faster rate than expected for its first quarter, thanks to strong gains in the company’s Marketplaces and PayPal businesses. The first quarter saw eBay’s online marketplace receive a surge of new users with transactions through mobile devices reporting strong growth.
