South of the border: H&M to launch in Latin America Monday, 23rd April 2012
Sweden’s Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) will enter the Latin American market by the end of 2012, opening its first store in Mexico City. WWD on Monday reported that the new store will be one of the largest for H&M in the world. “It will be the perfect first step for H&M [to enter] this fashion-conscious region,” said Karl-Johan Persson, chief executive officer of H&M, as reported by WWD.

H&M is easily one of the busiest high street brands around. Fresh from the roaring success that was the Marni for H&M collection, the Swedish fashion group now reportedly has its sights set on a permanent position in the luxury market.

Marni to launch a fragrance with Estée Lauder Wednesday, 14th September 2011
Marni has confirmed that it will collaborate with cosmetics giant Estée Lauder to produce a scent for release in 2012.
Lauder’s spokeswoman Veronique Gabai-Pinsky has commented that “wearing Marni is like wearing a piece of art”. According to well-known beauty publications, the scent will have to potential to be as iconic as house fragrances by Jean-Paul Gaultier and Moschino.
