Davies’ FG4 on track for 2,000 retail outlets despite unrest in region Tuesday, 1st March 2011

George Davies is confident his retail ventures into Saudi Arabia will not be disrupted by tensions in the surrounding regions.

Davies’ latest project, a joint venture with Saudi retail conglomerate Alhokair Group has launched eleven children’s wear outlets and will open 30 more in the next two weeks. FG4 plan to open 2,000 outlets in the region, which will eventually include properties in Bahrain.

When asked if he was concerned by the recent unrest across the Middle East effecting the development of his brand he stated “there are problems all over the world. Back home in England there is a serious financial crisis and cut backs and people are spending less.” He went on to add, “We will have to rethink Egypt for the moment but hopefully things will get back to normal.”
