Lidl bolsters presence in Romania Friday, 19th October 2012

Lidl opened two new stores in Bucharest and Oradea las week, bringing its local chain count to 148 stores.

A further 12 branches will be opened in Romania by the end of February 2013.

The German grocer opened a total of 107 stores last June after investing in rebranding the local Plus Discount supermarkets under its own name.

So far in 2012, 19 Lidl stores have been built.
