House of Fraser overtakes ASOS as UK’s most visible online retailer Saturday, 6th October 2012

House of Fraser has beaten ASOS, Debenhams and Marks & Spencer to number one as the UK’s most visible online brand, according to a report from digital marketing agency Greenlight.
Profiling UK consumer online behaviour, the Greenlight report found 3.2 million searches via Google UK were made for womenswear, menswear and fashion accessories in July.
Within the natual search space (listings in search engines that appear organically according to their relevance to the search terms), ASOS maintained its position with 57 per cent, up slighly from April’s 55 per cent.
However, it was House of Fraser that managed to knock ASOS off its top position in Greenlight’s Intergrated Search ranking (combining search engine optimisaiton and pay-per-click to accelerate advertising campaigns)with 62 per cent as the most visible fashion advertisier online for the UK.
ASOS meanwhile dropped to third place, with Debenhams in second and Marks & Spencer ranking fourth.
