Anya Hindmarch unveils global expansion plans Tuesday, 11th September 2012

The luxury British accessories brand will begin a new phase of global expansion as it looks to target the US, Middle East and Asian markets.

Anya Hindmarch will open a concession in Harvey Nichols’ Kuwait store, along with a flagship store on New York’s prestigious Madison Avenue next year.

Last month, the label sold a minority stake to a Qatari investor group in a deal valuing the company’s equity at £70 million.

“We are on track with hitting our strategic plan milestones.” Chief executive James McArthur said, “We are continuing to invest, which is clearly the right decision given the tremendous excitement and energy around the brand.”

Founded 25 years ago by chairman and chief creative officer Anya Hindmarch, the brand’s worldwide sales are now estimated at £40 million.
