Lego profits rocket Saturday, 1st September 2012
Profits at toy maker Lego have rocketed in the first half thanks to strong sales of the Lego Friends sets.
Net income rose 35 per cent to DKR 2 billion from a year earlier, on revenue up 24 per cent to DKR 9.1 billion.
Lego has said it plans to take on 1,000 more staff to cope with the strong demand.
The business is also planning to increase production due to the popularity of the Lego Friends products ahead of the all-important Christmas period.
