Kindle Fire sells out on Amazon Friday, 31st August 2012
Amazon has reported that its Kindle Fire tablet computer has sold out, fuelling suspicions that the e-tailer will launch at least one new version of the device at an event next week.
According to Amazon chief executive Jeff Bezos, the Kindle Fire has snatched 22 per cent of US tablet sales since its launch in November 2011.
Amazon has not yet indicated when the device is going to be back in stock, nor divulged how many had been sold.
