No need to spend hours deciphering an instruction manual for Ikea’s latest project. The world’s largest furniture retailer is thought to be developing a range of budget hotels across Europe.

According to the Financial Times, Inter Ikea, the company that owns the trademark for the retailer is now considering more than 100 locations for the Swedish company, including sites in Britain, Holland, Poland and Germany.

The budget design hotels will reportedly aim to offer a boutique experience at a budget traveller’s price, although the new venture is not expected to use Ikea’s name or branding.
