HMV tempts consumers into stores with "social media cafe" Monday, 13th August 2012
HMV is planning to open a social media café that provides Wi-Fi and mobile phone charging facilities, according to the Telegraph.
The two-storey store will also house a “high profile” technology department.
There are also plans to include a space which could be used for live performances and exhibitions in an effort to tempt shoppers into stores.
The retailer last week revealed that sales fell below £1 billion for the first time since 2002 as consumers continue to favour online shopping – a trend which shows no signs of letting up.
