HMV taps Carphone Warehouse for new finance director Tuesday, 7th August 2012

Ian Kenyon, a Carphone Warehouse executive, is set to become the music and entertainment retailer’s new finance director.
Kenyon will leave his position as chief financial officer of Best Buy Europe, a joint venture between Best Buy and Carphone Warehouse, to fulfil the vacant HMV role.
Having held similar roles previously at Carpetright, Sainsbury’s, Kingfisher and Superdrug, it’s hoped Kenyon will be able to lead HMV to sturdier ground after struggling sales and a plunge in share price in the past few quarters.
