Marks & Spencer launches first current account Wednesday, 18th July 2012

The maiden in-store branch will open at the flagship store in Marble Arch in London this week, with a further 49 in the pipeline.

According to reports, the Premium current account will charge £20 per month including worldwide travel insurance, or £15 without insurance.

Marks & Spencer has claimed that the benefits that come with the bank account are worth a total of £582 per year. These benefits include birthday gifts, seasonal treats and hot drinks at the M&S café. Customers will also collect loyalty points when they use their M&S debit card.
