Dunelm beats expectations with full-year profit surge Thursday, 5th July 2012
Dunelm Group Plc has forecast full-year profits that surpass analysts’ expectations.
For the year ended 30 June, the homeware retailer expects a pre-tax profit of £96 million, up from £83.6 million in the previous year.
Dunelm also said revenue grew 12 per cent to £603.7 million.
“Like-for-like sales growth exceptionally strong, boosted by the unusually wet weather over much of the quarter which ensured consistently strong footfall into stores,” the firm said.
Like-for-like sales rose 10.4 per cent for the fourth quarter. They were up 3.1 per cent for the year.
