Carpetright reports lowest profits since 1992 Wednesday, 27th June 2012

Carpetright has reported their lowest profits since 1992 according to founder Lord Harris of Peckham.

A stagnant housing market and weak consumer confidence have led to Carpetright’s underlying profits falling 76 per cent to £4 million.

The company closed 49 shops in total, leaving it with 490 in the UK.
