Tesco begins hunt for new director Monday, 25th June 2012

Tesco has charged Zygos with the task of finding a new UK commercial director for the retailer, as chief executive Philip Clarke looks to get its domestic operations back on track.
The Independent reported that the UK’s largest retailer will work with the executive search firm to find a new director to work closely with Clarke. Zygos is believed to be looking on a global sale for the new appointment, although it is also thought the position could be filled internally by someone already familiar with Tesco’s business.
The news comes as Tesco gears up to meet with shareholders in Cardiff this week after suffering a 1.5 per cent fall in underlying UK sales for its first quarter.
