WH Smith reports sales dip Thursday, 14th June 2012

WH Smith Group has reported a 3 per cent slide in like-for-like sales in the 15 weeks to 9 June.
Total sales dipped by one per cent.
The retailer said: “The economic environment remains uncertain and whilst we continue to be cautious about consumer spending, we remain confident in the outcome for the full year.”
The bookseller’s high street like-for-like sales slid four per cent and total sales fell three per cent.
