Supermarkets clip petrol prices Friday, 4th May 2012

Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Asda have each announced petrol price cuts of up to 2p per litre.

Tesco’s cuts went into effect yesterday, whereas Sainsbury’s and Asda cut their prices today.

Both Sainsbury’s and Tesco did not publish an average or maximum price, stating that they price locally, but Asda said shoppers across the UK would pay no more than 136.7p per litre for unleaded and 141.7p per litre for diesel.
