Muji plots European expansion Monday, 16th April 2012

On the back of a promising 2011, Japanese retailer Muji will add another set of stores to its European expansion programme.
According to the Independent, Muji will open new stores in its existing European countries including France and Sweden, as well as “new markets” for the retailer, either directly or under a franchise basis.
The home, design and clothing chain saw pre-tax profits increase 16 per cent to £3.86 million to the year to 28 January, with sales up 4 per cent to £61.18 million.
