Next Directory expected to break £1bn barrier Monday, 19th March 2012

It’s been revealed that Next’s Directory business is thought to have reached £1 billion in sales, ahead of the retailer’s full-year results on Thursday.

According to the Independent, Next’s online and catalogue business also saw its operating profit rise 16 per cent to £257 million in the year to 28 January.

Overall, the retailer is expected to report on a 3 per cent rise in group pre-tax profits to around £565 million. Credit Suisse on Monday reported that Next Directory is forecast to post a 16 per cent rise in sales to £1.09 billion, making up a third of the chain’s total revenues of £3.26 billion.
