Morrisons to invest £15m in ex-Best Buy stores Thursday, 26th January 2012

Morrisons will use the 10 former Best Buy stores it snapped up on Thursday to strengthen its mother and baby brand Kiddicare.com.

The supermarket bought the ten Best Buy leases from Carphone Warehouse, who was forced to close the stores after abandoning plans for a European chain of electrical megastores.

Morrisons said it would invest £15 million converting the stores to the Kiddicare.com, the brand it acquired last year.

About 700 new jobs will be created across the country on the back of the deal, with the first store expected to open before autumn this year.
