Amazon already selling 50,000 Kindle Fires per day Wednesday, 5th October 2011

Apple’s iPad may account for 75 per cent of all table sales in the US, but it seems Amazon may be about to close in on the competition.
Recent screenshots of Amazon’s internal ordering system found by CultOfAndroid appear to show that the company is already taking 2,000 Kindle Fire pre-orders every hour.
This would amount to 50,000 a day, and 250,000 since the time the Kindle Fire was announced last week. If Amazon are able to maintain the current rate, the company would have sold 2.5 million pre-orders when the product foes on sale on 15 November, and nearly 5 million by the end of the year.
In comparison, Apple sold almost 10 million iPads last quarter.
