House of Fraser boosts social media strategies Wednesday, 8th June 2011

House of Fraser has hired search marketing and technology firm Greenlight to develop its social media strategies as it looks to double online sales in 2011.

The department store has seen online revenues hit £50 million in 2010 and it is aiming to increase that by 100 percent in 2011.

In order to achieve this goal House of Fraser will focus on search engine optimization (SEO) and more efficient and personal online customer service.

Greenlight will also work closely with We Are Social, the department store's newly-appointed social media agency. The former will focus on SEO whilst the latter will predominantly work on defining and executive House of Fraser's social media strategies.

Robin Grant, managing director at We Are Social, added: “We’ve got some really innovative work underway for House of Fraser – initiatives that we think will see them leading the way within the social media for retailers. Watch this space.”
