Management changes at Foot Locker Friday, 27th May 2011

The footwear retailer has announced a slew of management changes today.

Richard Johnson will be promoted to the position of executive vice president and group president of retail stores from July 1 of this year. Johnson, who currently holds the post of CEO of Foot Locker U.S., Lady Foot Locker and Footaction, will also oversee all of the company's domestic and international stores.

The direct-to-customer business unit will now report directly to chairman, president and CEO Ken Hicks. The current executive vice president and chief financial officer Robert McHugh will now undertake new duties as executive vice president of operations support and be responsible for information systems and technology, real estate, logistics and sourcing.

Hicks has commented that the reorganization of senior management will help "continue to build on the success" of the businesses and will strengthen the brand.
