Ocado ups the stakes as Hene appointed Head of Grocery Retail Wednesday, 13th April 2011
The online grocer is determined to compete with the supermarket giants as it announces a newly created position for Lawrence Hene.Previously Ocado’s Head of Corporate Finance and Investor Relations, Hene has been promoted to the brand new role as Ocado drives to “deliver an even better experience” for its customers.
After playing a major role in Ocado’s stock market floatation last year Hene’s new position will involve overseeing key teams of trading at the company.
As Waitrose launched is multimillion pound in ecommerce investment earlier this year, and Morrison’s online venture on the horizon, Ocado will need to stay competitive in an area it has previously led.
